Business Interim’s principal is Hilary Husbands who has an MBA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management. She also has Prince 2 Practitioner and ITIL Foundation Status.
Hilary has spent over 10 years using IT to support business process, marketing and structural change, aimed at focusing on customer understanding.
In a recent assignment, it was apparent that the skills and structure to deliver and develop at project delivery level were missing. Delivery was under pressure but the ability for the organisation to change itself was key to sustainability.
Martin Geary, Associate Director of Finance in Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust says:
I worked with Hilary near the end of her assignment with MTW. She adapted her normal models of working to suit our local preferences. This has given us a structure on which to develop ideas into deliverable projects which can be monitored and measured throughout their life.
Her work, I am sure will evolve with the development of the Trust and forms a good basis for delivering change.
This is what some of Hilary’s customers say:
Garvin Lambert, formerly Commercial Director at Ovum writes:
Hilary identified and delivered a solution which provided us with a simple process, integrating our complex sales packages in our CRM application with our accounting systems. As a result we had a five-currency capability and improved our customer offering at the same time as reducing accounting overheads.
Keith Clark, Head of Business Improvement at RBWM writes:
Hilary brought structure and methodology to our programme. She managed a large programme of strategic and operational business improvement projects including structural changes, process re-engineering, integration of core and specialist IT applications. She has a sound understanding of enabling technologies and the formal delivery frameworks which gave us a consistent high standard of delivery.
Peter Milford of South West Strategic Health Authority writes:
Hilary managed the proposal and set up plans and structures for the new Postgraduate Medical Deanery in the South West Peninsula, which was established in 2005. This was the first new Deanery in the UK for many years. She brought business insight to the organisation whilst acknowledging and understanding the unique balance between academic, health and commercial objectives.
Phil Crookes, Organisational Development Manager for The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead writes:
Hilary understands fully that it is people who deliver change. Analysis led by her, helped ensure that the right skills & competencies are being transferred to our managers as we go into the next phase of corporate change.
Anne Allen, Director of Corporate Services (Chair - Programme
Board) of East Midlands Ambulance Service writes:
Hilary quickly built rapport with both the senior management team and all the key stakeholders. She rapidly gained credibility and respect, and imbued an air of optimism and 'can do' amongst a wide team that had previously felt somewhat beleaguered by the daunting change management programme ahead. The Trust has no hesitation in recommending Hilary to any future prospective
client(s).
Dave Whiting, Director of Operations
of East Midlands Ambulance Service writes:
Hilary's leadership as programme manager for the Patient Transport Services (PTS), service improvement programme has brought structure and purpose to this change process, and inspired managers to embrace the change process. Hilary is a highly skilled and experienced individual and her approach has brought rigor to the management of projects and clarity in terms of the benefits that will flow from the projects and programme overall. The OD element of the programme has given managers the confidence and emerging capability to carry forward the programme in to the longer term and to deliver the key local and regional objectives and benefits.
