Workshop 1 - Skills, Tools and Competences for Project Management
  1. The workshops are browser-viewed and available on a 24/7 basis - so busy project managers or stakeholders can take advantage of any spare time to access them. We encourage all stakeholders to take the workshops to ensure consistent understanding of the methodology.

The workshops can be taken in groups or individually - discussion and comparison is encouraged.

Each chapter has a quiz at the end to reinforce learning.

Each workshop has a test to help evaluate the progress the user is making. The test can be retaken. A certificate is awarded on achievement of 80% in the test.
  1. Workshop 1 takes an allegorical look at the skills, tools and competences which can increase the quality of project delivery.

It's unusual, engaging and thought provoking.

    For example, topics include:

  1. Users are encouraged to evaluate their own levels of competence and knowledge and to highlight areas for improvement, gaining new knowledge and skills and, in some cases, letting go of out-of-date ideas and behaviours.

The workshop also helps users explore how to transfer existing skills or knowledge into new, unfamiliar situations by recognising them and relating back to their own experience.

There are 10 attributes in all, covering the many aspects which help project managers to achieve their objectives.

Whilst support and encouragement is provided, the workshop emphasises that project managers should take responsibility for ensuring their own capability to deliver.
